“ Gorgeous French food, it was absolutely delicious. There was a lovely view of the Abbey whilst we enjoyed the beautifully made food. The duck was cooked to perfection, and melted off the bone. The staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was great, and it was spotlessly clean. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and I would recommend here to anyone visiting Hexham. ”

As someone with a big French culture and having lived there for 8 years, I was impressed, which rarely happens in French restaurants in the UK. Shona was lovely and we were warmly welcomed by what we think is the owner. My fiance had the rabbit and I had the steak and two starters. We were sat at the terrasse and we enjoyed it so much. We will definitely be back!! ”

“ Stayed next door in an Airbnb so popped in here twice, both excellent meals which we couldn't fault. The pace was great, didn't feel like we were left waiting nor did we feel rushed. Restaurant opens at 6pm and both nights it was full by 6:05pm which surely is a good sign? Atmosphere was great, no obtrusive music but just the sound of diners enjoying themselves. ”
“ In terms of quality, value and atmosphere, this is by far our favourite restaurant in Northumberland. The food is always excellent - we have visited 4 times now and the food has been perfect every time - the scallops are especially good. The staff are so accommodating and friendly, we’ve been served by Millie mostly and she can’t do enough. I’d particularly like to highlight the fact that we mentioned that the brand of water being used contained fluoride and there were better options available; the next time we visited they had actually changed the water to the brand we suggested! We couldn’t believe it, that small touch really made us feel at home and we are so appreciative (usually because we have had the odd look for pointing those sort of things out). In summary, this restaurant is 10 out of 10 and we can’t wait to go back. ”
